154                "reviewText": "This shaver was bought as a replacement for a more-than-25-year-old 6583XL, also made by Philips Norelco. The old shaver simply stopped working one fine day (would not respond to the on/off button at all, though the light showed it charging, etc.)The shaver arrived on time, in a frustration-free cardboard box along with a cleaning brush, warranty card, user manual, quick-start instructions and a charging cord. The shaver had no charge in it when received, so I charged it overnight before using it. No surprises in the user manual or quick-start instructions.The shaver is very quiet. Much quieter than my old 6583XL. The heads have the usual Philips-Norelco flex allowing for the shaver to follow the contours of your chin and around the adam's apple in your neck. The whole head also has the ability to move on a pivot, though that ability seems to be more of a gimmick than a practical improvement to the performance of the razor. My first impressions are that the razor performs pretty well. I was able to get a clean, smooth shave in less than 5 minutes. I used the razor dry, as I am used to using my old razor.The shave was smooth and clean, but no closer than what I used to get with my old 6583. And my old 6583 never had its shaver heads changed even once in its lifetime, so they were 25 years old. The new shaver has newer blades and better technology that promises lift and cut, but I did not feel that there was a discernible difference in terms of closeness or smoothness of the shave. The shave was quicker (not as many passes over the same area as with my old razor), but that is about it.This razor can also be used for a wet shave, with or without shaving gel/foam. So, you can use it in the shower if you prefer or use a shaving foam if you are used to it when switching from using regular razors. The user manual considers wet-shaving more \"comfortable\" and dry-shaving more \"convenient\".Cleaning the shaver is very convenient. You press a button at the base of the shaver head, and the whole head pops open so that you can run the hair collection area as well as the head under water to clean them out. The head does not pop off entirely like on my 6583XL, so you can do this single-handed. I used to clean out my 6583 once a week or so, but since I got the new shaver, I have taken to simply cleaning it out after every shave because of the convenience.You can clean out the hair chamber with the supplied brush instead of using water also. The user manual provides instructions for how you can completely separate the shaver head from the razor, then use the brush to individually clean each shaver blade and comb. I am not sure all that is necessary, but you can do it if you feel the need or urge to do it.The battery is supposed to be last for about 10 shaves (50 minutes) when fully charged. 3 minutes of charging from empty will give you a 5 minute shave. The charging circuit turns off entirely after the battery is fully charged, so the razor does not consume any power if left plugged in beyond a full charge. The charging indicator changes color to indicate when you can get at least one shave from the charge on the battery. The battery can go from empty to a full charge in one hour according to the user manual.The shaver cannot be used when plugged in. This is probably because it can be used both wet and dry. The shaver will not turn on when plugged in.The back of the shaver also has a pop-up trimmer for trimming side-burns, etc.Merits:QuietCan be used dry or wetEasy cleaningDemerits:Can't be used while plugged in. The razor does not have a replaceable battery either. So, when the battery dies (as it eventually will), the shaver will become completely uselessThe shaver arrived completely discharged. Li-ion batteries are supposed to be shipped with a 40 to 80% charge, not completely discharged. I was quite annoyed that someone made the decision to ship these razors out disregarding simple best practices like the level of charge in the rechargeable batteryThe replacement heads are quite expensive (half the price of the shaver itself or even more). Looks like these companies are taking a page out of the books of the printer manufacturers where they give away the razor practically for free, and get you with the cost of the replacement headsBottomline: If you are moving from another Philips Norelco razor, you won't face any ugly surprises. If you are switching from something else, this will probably be more convenient (and in the short term, less expensive too since you don't need to keep spending money on shaving supplies), but no electric razor can provide the smoothness or closeness of shave of a regular razor, even when brand new.",

I have to tell you that I am absolutely astonished at the level of incompetence by Air France & Delta at locating missing baggage. And let me be clear from the outset that I'm not even mad that it got lost in the first place. I fly a lot realize that eventually I'll have a bag go missing. No big deal, really. My consternation arises from the fact that two days after it went missing they located the bag, and this is important because at that point it was *no*longer*missing. They \"know\" it's my bag and needs to be delivered to me.I'd already moved on from that first city but I gave them another address that was good for the next four days, so you think they'd just send it over to me, right? Nope. Fail. So then I gave them an entirely new address that was good for the three more days. I have to have gotten it by now, right? Nope. Epic fail.Nearly two weeks of these shenanigans go by, with near daily phone calls to the airline and also constantly monitoring a completely useless website called \"WorldTracer\" that shows the \"status\" of my bag...all for naught. Here's a hint: the website status never changes and no useful information ever appears.Despite all of my efforts (along with over $50 in roaming fees to repeatedly call the airlines while traveling through Europe), they can't seem to get my bag sent to me. Anywhere. At one point I even received an email from Delta CONFIRMING that it had been delivered to me. I'll give you one guess...If you guessed that it had not, in fact, been delivered, you win a prize for guessing correctly.At 16 days into this saga I gave up on ever seeing the bag again, but did request that in the event of actually doing something to solve my problem that instead of trying to send it to me in Europe that they should just send it back to my home in the USA where I would get it at the end of my 27-day trip. (Spoiler alert: they never did.)Want to know the fun part of the story? I had a Tile bluetooth tracker in the suitcase and it registered as being at an airport outside of London (said airport not being part of my itinerary) and it just sat there for two weeks. I told multiple airline employees where it was, only to be told that \"...it can't be there\" or \"we don't use that airport\" or similar nonsense. You know, like I was making it up. I literally told them where to look for my bag but nobody would bother doing so.So, 27 days later I arrived home without the suitcase containing (among other things) my Norelco shaver. I bought this new one and immediately felt at home using it. Ergonomically it feels identical to the one that Air France lost, but I wonder if there is some slight improvement over the prior one because it seems to shave a little easier. Maybe it's just that it has new blades. I don't know. All I can tell you is that I'm instantly happy with it and don't regret the purchase, except for the fact that it's $90 out of my pocket, and I know there's no way in Hades that Air France is going to cut me a check for my lost bags. If they can't find my bag even after being told where to look for it, what's the likelihood of them finding their checkbook?Here are the lessons learned:1) This is a great shaver. My face feels as smooth as baby's butt, thanks to Norelco.2) Never check a bag with Air France unless it's something you want to lose, like a suitcase containing the evidence of a crime, or maybe all the keepsakes and love letters from a failed relationship.",
